World No. 1 Jin-ho Park (47) won the second gold medal for the Korean team at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.

He made up for the loss of the gold medal by 0.1 points three years ago.

On August 31 (Korean time), Jin-ho Park won the gold medal by shooting 249.4 points in the R1 Men's 10m Air Rifle Standing (Sports Class SH1) final held at the Chateauroux Shooting Center in France, beating Yerkin Gabasov (Kazakhstan, 247.7 points).

Korea won gold for two consecutive days, following Jo Jeong-du (37) winning the gold medal in the P1 Men's 10m Air Pistol (Sports Class SH1) the day before. 토토사이트 순위

Korean para shooting won four medals (two gold, one silver, one bronze) in two days.

The air rifle finals feature eight athletes shooting 10 shots each, followed by two shots each, with the lowest total score being the first to be eliminated.

Jin-ho Park shot 103.1 points in his first 10 shots, tying for second place with Martin Black Jorgensen (Denmark) and Andriy Doroshenko (Ukraine), following Gabasov.

He dropped to fifth place after shooting 9.8 points in his 14th shot, but narrowly escaped elimination by shooting 10.4 points in his 15th and 16th shots, beating out sixth-place Jan Winter (Denmark) by 0.9 points.

After overcoming the crisis, he shot 10.5 points in his 17th shot and moved up to third place.

After shooting his 18th shot, the gap with first-place Doroshenko was 0.6 points.

Jin-ho Park shot 10.4 points in his 19th shot, allowing Gabasov to catch up.

Gabasov was in trouble when he shot 10.7 points first, but Jin-ho Park also shot 10.7 points.

It was a situation where he could have gone to the shoot-off, but Doroshenko, who was in the lead, stopped at 10.0 points and dropped to second place, so the final three made it.

Jin-ho Park, who secured the bronze medal, finally took the lead by shooting 10.6 points on his 21st shot.

He maintained the lead by hitting 10.5 points on his 22nd shot.

He was 0.7 points behind 2nd place Gabasov.

Park Jin-ho shot 10.8 points on his 23rd shot, running away with a 1.1 point lead.

Then, he hit his last shot at 10.6 points to secure the gold medal.

Park Jin-ho failed to win a medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, and won a silver and bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

He won the gold medal on his third attempt.

As of 5 p.m. on the 1st, Korea is in 14th place in the overall rankings with 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals.

Park Jin-ho graduated from a physical education college and suffered a spinal cord injury in 2002 when he was 25 years old.

While rehabilitating, he took up shooting at the recommendation of a doctor and became a star player representing Korea.

He rose to the top of the world rankings as the winner of the World Championships last year and also set a world record (250.5 points) at the Changwon World Cup last year.
